He wanted to be too close
and knit her flesh
into fresh woolen dreams
and leave his thumbprints
on the skin that spanned her hips
to feel her thoughts
before she even sensed them
and taste the smile
that she nursed like a cool summer drink.
He wanted to undress her with his careful hands
and feel his name drop
like an oath from her lips
in a dark room
and make her limbs ache
to numb her breath
and teach her words
that would turn the still air sultry
and make the night blister
her heart
like unquenched summer.

Likewise what katrinzzz said. Your diction in your poetry is always fantastically descriptive. It might definitely be your calling. :)

Light? Spring? Something?

I don't know where you are, but we've got tons of rains here in Richmond. As a friend so eloquently and cleverly put it: April showers bring May flowers. Mayflowers bring pilgrims. Pilgrims bring smallpox. Hope you've had your vaccinations. :)

Amazingly sensuality, it's so visual, almost like a movie!! I'm feeling just like a fly in a web, all wrapped up into it!!

I like how you build up the steam until it wants to escape through the cracks... this one is teasing. Well done!
