somewhere in the ocean off the boat's red stern,
headless, hopeless victim slipping out of sight -
its limbs left sleeping and sifting through the bern.
Not all mad men wear their illness on their sleeve -
left rotting in a watery grave beneath,
a corpse that wears his killer's true intention
and bears false witness to dark's bleak infection.
